The school psychologist engages in intervention activities including assistance to staff in analyzing students' progress and performance, and helping students with adjustment difficulties and behavioral management issues.

As part of a multi-disciplinary special education team, the school psychologist provides assessment of learning aptitudes, personality and emotional development, and assists in determining eligibility for special needs services.

The school psychologist is also an integral member of the school’s Crisis Intervention Team, providing consultation in critical situations that occur in the school setting that affect the safety and welfare of the school community.
