The position of Student Assistance Counselor is one that is contracted through EBCAP in order to provide counseling services to any student that might need help with a social/emotional problem that is affecting their school performance. This might involve home issues (i.e.: divorce, loss of loved one, family conflict) or interpersonal issues (i.e.: bullying, social skills, healthy relationships), or personal problems (i.e.: substance use, anxiety, depression). The
student assistance counselor works in conjunction with guidance, the
nurse, and the school psychologist to provide support individually and
in groups.
