Please join us in applauding Tiverton Middle School 8th grader Jackson Pepler and 6th grader Ethan Cordeiro! On Tuesday, June 16, Jackson and Ethan became the very first TMS students to qualify for and compete in the Rhode Island National Civics Bee! To reach the live state finals, both boys first had to submit a comprehensive essay identifying a community issue and proposing a civic solution. Out of all the 2026 essay submissions across Rhode Island, Jackson and Ethan were specially selected as state finalists. The prestigious event featured introductory remarks by Stephen Lombardi, Executive Director of the East Greenwich Chamber of Commerce, and guest speaker RI Secretary of State Gregg Amore. The competition was evaluated by an esteemed panel of judges. Jackson and Ethan took the stage and competed fiercely in the first two rounds of the live finals, which contained challenging multiple-choice questions testing deep civics knowledge. They represented Tiverton with incredible poise, sharp intelligence, and absolute tiger pride. We are so proud of their hard work and civic leadership.

🏀 Championship Bound! 🐅 The Tiverton Girls Basketball team punched their ticket to the RIIL Division II Championship last night with an incredible 47–45 victory over Coventry in the semifinals! After a hard-fought battle and a clutch finish, the Tigers are heading to the title game. 🏆 Championship Game 📍 The Amp – Providence 🗓 Tomorrow evening ⏰ 6:00 PM 🆚 Lincoln School Let’s pack the stands and show our Tiger pride as these athletes compete for the state championship! Some of our THS boys and girls track athletes competed in the JV State Championship this week — and they showed up ready to “roar.” 🐯 Personal best times were posted, school records were broken, and the hard work and dedication of our student-athletes was on full display. We are so proud of the way our Tigers compete, support each other, and represent THS with heart and grit. Way to run strong, Tigers! 💛

It was a Wonderful Wednesday at TMS as the girl’s basketball team hosted their final home game with friends, family and fans! The atmosphere was festive with decorations provided by team parents and light concessions and TMS Swag available compliments of PTO & Boosters. This was the perfect time to debut the new school mascot, Louis, named in honor of the late, great Louis Bitar who had a tremendous impact on Tiverton Schools during his wonderful career. GO TIGERS!

There has been a change in plans for the Thanksgiving Day football game. The game will now be played on Wednesday, November 26, at 6:00 p.m. at Tiverton High School against Barrington High School.

We hope you’ll come out the night before turkey day and show your Tiger pride!

TIGER STRONG at JV STATES! It was the boys’ turn to shine at the RI JV State Meet held at Hendricken High School, and our Tiverton Tigers delivered with an impressive 7th place finish out of 33 teams! Standout Performances: Brady Joslyn led the charge with a 1st place finish in the 1500m (new school record & personal best) and a 2nd place in the 800m (personal best & school record)! Mason Lazar launched a massive 130+ foot throw in javelin to secure 2nd place and a new personal best! Colin Messenger sprinted to a 3rd place medal in the 400m! Christian Swain added valuable points with an 8th place finish in the high jump! The 4x400m relay team of Gabriel Carrizo, Colby Lopes, Brady Joslyn, and Colin Messenger closed the meet with a thrilling 3rd place finish!
