Tiverton High School

Starting next school year, the Tiverton School Committee in conjunction with the administration is considering providing all special education services in our schools and removing the district from the Newport County Regional Special Education Program. To help make the best decision on this matter the School Committee will receive a presentation on the reason and rationale for this recommendation, followed by an Open Forum for staff and community members to offer their feedback/input. The forum will be held at the School Committee meeting on January 24, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. in the high school library. The Prestige Student Scholarship Program deadline is quickly approaching! 📸 Class of 2023 seniors photographed by Prestige Photography can apply for a scholarship by sharing their Prestige Photography experience in a formal one-page essay. A total of 3 scholarships of $1,000 each will be awarded between United States and Canada. Deadline to apply is January 31. January 9, 2023 Important Message From Tiverton Public Schools Tiverton School District Official Statement on SRO As of December 23rd, 2022, our SRO is no longer employed by the Tiverton School District. We were made aware of a situation and are working with the proper authorities as required. No students were harmed or in harms way in the reported incidents, and Tiverton Police continues to provide SRO support for the School District.

Due to a water leak in the boiler room at Tiverton High School, all THS students will be dismissed today, October 11, 2022 starting at 11:30 AM. All students will have transportation made available to them as the busses begin the necessary routes. Thank you for your understanding. 

ATTN THS: Volunteer Hours Available for today 10/7 at Town Farm for Tiverton Little League softball tournament. Any shift between 10 AM until 6 PM, helping with concessions and field maintenance. Mr. Mercer is the contact. (Mr. McGuire has approved for grad requirements).

Bus # 12 is unavailable for both the morning and afternoon run on 9/14/22. Students scheduled for after school programing (Tiger Cubs/Sakonnet Early Learning Center) will be redirected to buses going to those locations in the afternoon. Thank you for your understanding.

As a gentle reminder, there is no school for all Tiverton Public School students tomorrow, Tuesday, September 13, 2022. Our buildings are needed for voting. See you on Wednesday, 9/14/2022.

Our Transportation Contractor has just informed us that the Bus 12 AFTERNOON bus run only will not be in service for 9/9/22. The students that go to childcare facilities will be directed to a different bus to arrive at their location. We apologize for this inconvenience.
