Pocasset School’s Fourth Graders visited the RI State House to see our government in action. Many thanks to Senator Walter Felag (Tiverton) who secured a grant for busing and who arranged this wonderful opportunity.

Our Elementary Jr. Tigers Pep Squad, consisting of 50 students from all 3 schools, can’t wait to show you our Jr. Tiger spirit and pride on Saturday at the Tiverton Celebrates Parade! Tiverton Middle School students in grades 6 and 8 attended a field trip to Ocean Live Park, a stopover in the Ocean Race at Fort Adams in Newport, RI. Students viewed the team bases and sustainability exhibits. They participated in the One Blue Voice Immersive Experience, which provides an understanding of ocean health. Students also toured Fort Adams, the second-largest coastal fortification in the United States.

Congratulations to the Tiverton Middle School Mock Trial Team for remaining undefeated in the Rhode Island Mock Trial Tournament. TMS represented the prosecution and prevailed over Our Lady of Mercy School, the defense, before the Honorable Edward Newman.

On April 1, 2023, sixth graders from Tiverton Middle School competed in the National History Day Contest at Toll Gate High School. They worked for months researching their topics, writing scholarly papers to defend their research, and created innovative projects to represent all they learned over the course of four months. Incredibly, for the first time in Tiverton’s history, TMS students earned 1st place in their respective categories! Elena, Abby, and Will are now moving on to the National Competition at the University of Maryland from June 11th-June 15th! The Bristol County District Attorney's Office hosted a discussion about the Bill of Rights with sixth graders at Tiverton Middle School. Second Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Sowa clarified the rights of the accused, and the students gained a deeper understanding of the amendments.

Pre-registration is for students who are new to Tiverton Public Schools only. All registrations are completed utilizing the Online Registration Portal. Registration information may be submitted at your convenience from a computer or Chromebook at home, or via a kiosk located at our administration office Monday-Friday. Tiverton Middle School eighth graders in Mr. Leary's social studies classes concluded their study of Ancient Greece by creating a Greek Mythology book project. The books were then shared with sixth graders who recently learned about myths by reading The Odyssey in their ELA classes.

Congratulations to the Tiverton Middle School Mock Trial Team for their victory in their first trial competition of the season! TMS represented the defense and defeated Our Lady of Mercy School, the prosecution.
